The Global Supply Chain Management Program of the Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management is seeking applicants for a three-year appointment, non-tenure track lecturer position to begin in January 2019. There is a 4-4 teaching load associated with this position with the possibility to be reappointed up to a total of six years. The primary requirements shall be teaching, academic advising on courses taught in supply chain, as well as advising and assisting students on career opportunities in the field of supply chain management.
The successful candidate must possess an advanced degree (i.e., master's level degree) in supply chain management, business administration and/or a related field, or equivalent executive supply chain experience. Candidates must have substantial logistics and supply chain management experience acquired through positions previously and/or currently held in industry, and candidates should be current on trends and innovations in this field. Supply chain consulting experience working with multiple firms and industries and/or similar consulting experience in related fields is a significant plus. Additionally, previous experience teaching logistics, supply chain and/or related courses at either the undergraduate or graduate level is strongly preferred. Other professional work and activities in or related to the field of supply chain management will also be considered a plus. Finally, some faculty in the GSC Program interact regularly with supply chain professionals in industry professional meetings and Rider supply chain events. Thus, any experience participating in or leading industry events, and involvement in fund raising activities would be considered a plus.
