Witt/Kieffer has been retained by Orlando Health to conduct the search for the Vice President of Supply Chain, CSCO. This role represents an exciting opportunity to work for one of Florida’s most comprehensive private, not-for-profit healthcare networks, encompassing nine hospitals, a large multi-specialty medical group, and a clinically integrated network, with total revenue in excess of $3.8 billion annually, nearly 21,000 employees and a medical staff of more than 3,500 physicians.
Reporting to the Orlando Health Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President oversees all supply chain functions for the system; encompassing purchasing, inventory management, supply warehousing and distribution, value analysis, vendor management, fleet management, mail/courier services, corporate catering and departmental IS consultants supporting the ERP and warehouse management systems. As the organization develops a relationship with their newly selected GPO, it will be imperative that this individual form solid relationships in order to understand the savings and technological advantages this organization presents. In addition, it will be important for this executive to implement and use data and metrics in order to bring more transparency to the supply chain function and to dictate decision making.
The successful candidate must possess strong supply chain leadership and management experience within a progressive, complex, and high performing organization. Candidates should have demonstrated success and knowledge of contracting and purchasing, logistics, distribution models, and a track record of effectively using automation and technology in order to leverage supply chain as a strategy. He or she will have knowledge of efficient expense management approaches, including sophisticated analysis, tracking and reporting of supply chain and cost reduction initiatives. While content expertise is critical, he/she must have well developed leadership skills and possess the ability to establish credibility and a visible, proactive working relationship with executive and physician leadership across the system.
