Package Command Center Modal Manager (1803123) Florham Park, NJ
Where the Chemistry Happens...
The Package Command Center Modal Manager will be a ccountable for all Package truck shipments for BASF in the United States and Canada. He or She will partner with many members of the Global Supply Chain organization and bring a collaborative approach as well as timely communication in coordination among all functions.
We would like a highly motivated individual that can operate successfully, independently and as a leader and member of the FSO/TM organization. This position will also require the capability to speak persuasively to individuals, in meetings, and before groups, to advance the strategic objectives of Package Command Center.
Formula for Success: You Will...
As a leader, you will be a Strategic partner with RBU's for Transportation related topics Joint Target Agreements (JTA's), while managing, monitoring controlling and steering the performance of the LLP provider(s) and the carriers.
Support Procurement during tendering and onboarding of new transportation service providers.
Identifying key initiatives to improve collaboration across platform, site and BU workforce and cooperating with Customer Care groups (sales orders) and Business Unit Planners (purchase orders) to enable best possible planning platform for Transportation (delivery note quality).
Monitoring transportation performance against target KPI's, SLA's, while analyzing and providing opportunities for improvement, optimization and effective management of operations.
Successfully enhancing operational service offerings currently provided by Transportation Command Center, focusing on carrier performance metrics, real-time Track and Trace protocol, Proactive Communication, Transportation Reliability (TR) / Service Provider Reliability (SPR) improvements.
Leveraging your educational background and professional production experience you will lead and assist with rollout of key project initiatives which will support the Command Center's mission of Operational Excellence in Transportation Management. Lead the Package Truck operations in supporting BASF critical Winning Together and Customers First initiative.
Your strong attention to detail will enhance SAP driven KPI metrics and analysis in order to provide clear and accurate evaluation of service provider performance.
