The University of Michigan-Flint Physical Therapy Department is seeking an application for a Lecturer I as primary laboratory instructor to assist the primary course instructor in PTP 611 Kinesiology and Applied Anatomy.

The LEO faculty member will be responsible for conducting labs as the primary lab instructor in collaboration with the primary instructor for lectures. The primary instructor for lectures is responsible for the overall course and will coordinate weekly content (course content) with the primary laboratory instructor. The primary lab instructor will be responsible for developing lab material, lab set up, create and administer assignments and create, administer and grade practical exams in collaboration with the primary lecture instructor and other lab instructors. The expertise of the LEO faculty member will be utilized in meeting course objectives for modules related to the application of gross anatomy and biomechanics to achieve a clinically based understanding of human movement.
Estimated salary for position if $5,040 for teaching two lab sections.
Graduate of a CAPTE accredited (or its equivalent) professional PT program.
Licensed or regulated as a physical therapist in a U.S. jurisdiction.
Bachelor’s degree required.
36 months of full time (or equivalent) post licensure clinical experience with contemporary expertise in the application of gross anatomy and biomechanics to achieve a clinically based understanding of human movement.
This Position is subject to the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturers Employees Organization (LEO) AFT/MFT and SRP Local 6244, AFL/CIO.
DPT degree is preferred.
Member of APTA preferred.
