Assistant or Associate Professor of Information Systems (Cybersecurity)
This position is a full-time (nine-month) tenured/tenure-track appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems, the College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL). The primary purpose of this position is to conduct research and to teach graduate and undergraduate courses. This position requires a commitment to working with diverse student and community populations. With nearly 15,000 students, UMSL is the largest public research university in eastern Missouri. It serves a diverse student body whose influence on the region upon graduation is immense.
As one of the few AACSB accredited schools with a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) program, experience in executive education, practitioner-based research and dissertation supervision are critical attributes of successful applicants.
Essential tasks that must be performed :
Conduct independent research in information systems, particularly in cybersecurity and related topics, including software assurance, networking, cloud and database technologies, IoT, and cyber analytics,
Teach basic and advanced courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels,
Provide professional and community service
This position requires the holder to have a Ph.D. or in Information Systems (or a related area) or to be close to completing a Ph.D. The candidate should a commitment to and an established track record of teaching and research excellence. The teaching load for this position is a minimum of four classes per year (2-2 load) as determined by the department chair.
