The Department of Management at Marquette University invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Information Systems starting August 2019.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The new faculty member is expected to be actively involved in research, teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, and interfacing with the industry through advisory boards, networking events, and one-on-one interactions. Candidates should have experience in teaching traditional courses in IS such as Introduction to IS, Systems Analysis & Design, Database Management, Applications Development, and Security but, more critically, should demonstrate skills in current areas such as Technology and Innovation, Analytics, and Emerging Technologies such as Blockchain, IoT, and AI. The new faculty member will also be involved in design and support of any new undergraduate programs related to IS as well as online and hybrid graduate programs such as master's and certificates. As such, experience with online teaching is valued. Candidates must demonstrate a strong publication record and potential for continued research with impact.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Earned doctorate or a terminal degree. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and high quality research.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
ABD may be considered. Prior industry or academic experience preferred.
