Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Laboratory Researcher IV for the Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey. The Laboratory Researcher IV is responsible and accountable for all required activities related to manufacturing kits at the Rutgers University Cell and DNA Repository. This position is capable of working independently to ensure all kitting related activities are completed within scope, deadline, and budget.
Among the key duties of this position are the following
Manages, guides, directs, develops and mentors the manufacturing staff reporting to them.
Works closely with Quality Assurance department and develops customer focused and compliant supply chain processes.
Prepares for and hosts internal and external quality audits of the area.
Resolves all observations and deviations.
Participates and leads the cross functional teams as required by the ever changing business demands.
Works closely with Project Managers and others.
Serves as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Biomaterial Collection and Manufacturing in designing, improving and manufacturing the kits.
Develops and implements effective and efficient processes that meet or exceeds customer expectations.
Establishes regular and reliable communication channels with internal and external customers as require.
Acts as a liaison in cross-functional matrix environment
Minimum Education and Experience:
This position requires a bachelor's degree in Information Technology and Informatics; or an equivalent combination of education and/or with hands on experience in kitting manufacturing and inventory management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to adjust in fast-paced environment with constantly changing customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
Two years of industry related hands-on experience preferably in kitting manufacturing and inventory management.
Basic knowledge of current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Good Documentation Practices
(GDP), and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
