The Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management is seeking applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor position to begin in September 2019. Successful candidates will be expected to teach Business Analytics and/or Actuarial Science courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels; develop a research program; advise students; contribute to the achievement of all aspects of the Department's mission; and serve the profession.
The Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management is housed in the College of Business Administration (CBA), which holds both business and accounting accreditation by AACSB International — a hallmark of excellence in business education that has been earned by less than 5% of the world’s business schools. Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
●The successful candidate must possess a Ph. D. or DBA from an AACSB accredited institution in a relevant field, such as analytics, information systems, mathematics, statistics, econometrics, operations, actuarial science, or management science. Candidates who are expected to complete their degree by July 31, 2019 are also encouraged to apply.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
●Previous experience teaching business analytics and/or actuarial science courses, particularly on modeling, optimization, and simulation, at either the undergraduate or graduate level is strongly preferred. ●Continuous research activity in business analytics, , information systems, management science, or actuarial science is expected. Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration is preferred. ●Other professional work and activities in any of the related fields will also be considered a plus. ●Please indicate any conferences you are planning to attend in the cover letter. While a conference interview is not mandatory, we will meet with interested candidates at conferences at which we have representatives.
