This position will be responsible for the collection, analysis and evaluation, and reporting of data and information to support ZLI’s programs.
This position will report to the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications.
As Data Reporting Analyst at the Zell Lurie Institute, you will use data and analytical skills to support the work of the staff, decision making of the ZLI directors, accelerator and incubator partners, and other stakeholders through the provision of accurate and timely reporting, e.g., student programs, alumni engagement, and other key metrics.
Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting
Collect and organize data on student and alumni participation, including historical data going back since the ZLI’s inception.
Collect data for ZLI’s annual report.
Manage the feedback survey process for our 20+ programs. This includes creating and sending surveys, collecting feedback data, analyzing results, and creating reports.
Serve as point person for the Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine annual rankings survey.
Partner with Desai and TechArb for data collection on our co-managed accelerator programs.
Analyze the entrepreneurial education market to find data-grounded opportunities for ZLI.
Generate regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support ZLI staff.
Creatively visualize data in a variety of formats to provide relevant and persuasive insights for internal and external partners.
Serve as department database liaison to the ZLI, Desai, and TechArb teams; recommend enhancements; provide reports for team(s).
Successfully navigate through multiple systems and databases to obtain necessary data for analysis.
Research, identify, and implement database / CRM tool.
Migrate, maintain, and continuously update data on students, alumni, mentors/judges, and vendors.
Serves as main contact for ZLI data with Ross Marketing, U-M Central, and other partners.
Participate in projects to improve the team’s use of student and alumni data.
Think strategically and apply analytical skills to identify trends to aid in decision-making.
Aid in creating presentation materials for ZLI staff.
Manage special projects as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of work experience in data collection and analysis or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
