Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Center within our School of Nursing. The FXB Center strives to meet this mission through research, education, and translation of evidence-based findings into practice. The Research Project Coordinator role is part of a federally funded 5-year mobile health (mHealth) research study in Romania, and supports the health of gay and bisexual men. The Research Project Coordinator will take primary responsibility for day-to-day management of the mobile data programming, data collection (assessments at baseline, 4, 8, and 12 months post-baseline), and data downloads/cleaning. Major duties include:
Facilitates research participant data collection through surveys.
Assists with data downloads, entry and management to prepare for analyses.
Maintains a participant tracking database in Access.
Oversees the ordering and shipments of HIV/STI testing kits between the US and Romania.
Tracks HIV/STI results.
Coordinates study team meetings and maintains tracking databases to ensure the adequate progression of the study.
Supports with recruitment, consent, and participant contact, as needed.
Completes literature reviews.
Assists with compiling research findings and results presentation.
Minimum Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant social or medical science, plus three (3) years of experience in similar activities in scientific research.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
SPSS (data management and analyses).
Comprehensive understanding of Romanian culture and language. Bilingual skills (fluent in both English and Romanian languages) is required in order to communicate daily with Romanian partners and research participants.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office-Access.
Experience and comfort in working with various types of collaborators is preferred, including academics, community-based partners, medical/healthcare cadre, and members of various minority groups including sexual and gender minorities.
Travel between Newark, NJ and New York City (where another Principal Investigator's office is located), is required.
