The Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) Department in the College of Business, University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for two full-time tenure-track positions in business analytics with the rank of Assistant Professor.
Applicants must have the potential for both high quality academic research and teaching, and must be willing to support the department and its initiatives.Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity and equity in education through their scholarship, teaching, and/or service. The position responsibilities will include: a) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Systems, Statistics, and/or Business Analytics b) Actively participate in the development and delivery of new courses c) Participate in curriculum and course development d) Fulfill customary service commitments to the department, college, university, community and/or profession e)Maintain appropriate AACSB faculty qualification criteria as defined by the college f) Research culminating with publications in such top journals as Journal of Operations Management, Management Science, MSOM, MISQ, ISR, and POMs. g) Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in operations and supply chain management, participating in curriculum and course development h) Customary service commitments to the department, college, university, community and/or profession i) Maintaining appropriate AACSB faculty qualification criteria as defined by the college
A doctorate in Information Systems, Operations or Supply Chain Management, Business Statistics, or a related field from an AACSB accredited (or equivalent) university by the date of appointment
Preference will be given to candidates who have a strong research record and teaching interest in business analytics.
