The Inventory Systems Technician will be responsible for:
Maintaining inventory control systems in all par locations. Serving as liaison between supply chain, inventory system vendor, and nursing units.
Working with new par location departments to identify stock items and par levels using historical receipt data. Setting up hardware for new par locations.
Maintaining inventory system hardware for all par locations to insure delivery of supplies. Maintaining system uptime using a computerized inventory control system.
Acting as the Supply Chain point person for any system error calls. Providing day to day assistance, problem resolution and information, as needed.
Tracking and continuously evaluates department activity data on materials management software application.
Working with Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, and client departments to identify invoice mismatch errors and works to resolve such errors. Contacts vendors when needed.
Filling in as needed in the Stat Room. Coordinates the distribution of Stat Room items, product returns, shortages, and order errors, as needed.
Participating in the hands-on training of new employees and provides ongoing support for existing Hospital staff.
To qualify, you must have:
The ability to read and understand written instructions typically acquired through completion of high school and at least 2 or 3 years of related experience.
The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
