Engineering Technology Program: Department of Engineering Technologies. Bowling Green State University.
Full-time, tenured position at the rank of Full Professor in Engineering Technology/Mechatronics Programs, Department of Engineering Technologies. Preferred starting date is August 2019.
- Teach and develop undergraduate and graduate level courses in mechanical design, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and general engineering technology. - Conduct research that leads to peer-reviewed publications in advanced mechanical design or advanced manufacturing; actively seek external research support as appropriate. - Play a leadership role for the program. - Provide appropriate service to the department, college, university, and the profession.
- A doctoral degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics, or very closely related discipline is required. - Area of expertise: Advanced manufacturing such as additive manufacturing, modeling & design, IOT in manufacturing or related areas at the frontiers of advanced manufacturing.
- Currently a full professor or an associate professor with satisfactory credentials to be promoted to full professor position at the hire. - At least 7 years of experience in teaching and developing undergraduate/graduate courses at the university level. - Significant record of conducting advanced manufacturing research in related areas that led to peer-reviewed publications and external funding. - Demonstrated leadership at institutional and professional levels.

Information about Program and College
The Department of Engineering Technologies is a multidisciplinary unit with 13 fulltime faculty members and 12 part time instructors. The Department offers bachelor’s degrees in Engineering Technology (ENGT), Mechatronics Engineering Technology (ROBO), Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET), Quality Systems (QS), and Aviation Studies (AVS). Among these, ENGT and ECET are ETAC-ABET accredited programs, with the others expected to follow. The department also offers a Master of Technology Management and a consortium Ph.D. in Technology Management with other universities including Indiana State University as the host. The Department enrolls over 600 undergraduate students and 35 graduate students. The Department is heavily focused on hands-on curriculum and applied research and currently pursuing several initiatives including RAPIDS 3.0 (Regionally Aligned Priorities in Delivering Skills) grant, Advanced Manufacturing grant, STEM grants, and introduction of engineering programs.
