The Vice President is responsible for leading, implementing, measuring and directing a clinically integrated supply chain across multiple hospital campuses. The incumbent will provide leadership in expense management for a health system with aggregate supply expense budget exceeding $185 million. S/he is responsible for building strategic alliances with facility and service line executives, directors and staff to achieve positive performance and targeted outcomes in all areas of accountability. Responsibilities include executive leadership for facility support services (EVS, FNS, Ambassadors), Pharmacy and Laboratory. S/he is responsible for change leadership, and creating a service organization mentality among all areas of responsibility, continuously seeking to meet and exceed customer needs.
Successfully integrate services within the health system, understanding the overall strategies and aligning departmental strategies in support of organizational priorities.
Provide leadership and strategic direction in supply chain operations, expense management and clinical integration.
Establish a clinically driven supply chain through strong alliances with health system providers, clinicians, and administrative leaders.
Drive clinical and product standardization to support of achieving margin at Medicare rates.
Oversee the organization’s vendor management program, ensuring appropriate credentialing and access.
Collaborate with facility and service line teams to assimilate information from a variety of sources and analyze financial, operational, clinical, quality and service metrics to assess supply chain and support services performance and opportunities.
Communicate strategic recommendations and execute a plan of action for overall improvements in operations, expense, clinical integration, quality and service. Establish and meet expense savings goals.
Execute operations and expense management plans and report results in an accurate and timely manner.
Benchmark and identify best practices and opportunities across leading healthcare organizations, establish communications and operational plans to address appropriate opportunities, and measure/report progress.
Engage teams in delivering and supporting patient- and family- centered care, and monitor associated metrics including patient satisfaction driving accountability for high levels of performance.
Investigate new product and service options with potential to improve expense and overall performance.
Drive successful supply improvement initiatives by quantifying opportunities, tracking performance to plan, and providing project management support. Facilitate standardization and optimization of supply utilization through effective collaborations with providers and clinicians. Manage implementation of plans and continuously mitigate risks.
Create a supportive environment for staff development and the delivery of service solutions.
Create internal customer confidence, strive to improve satisfaction and manage customer expectations through alignment of key stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong, effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business Management or related field required.
Minimum seven (7) years experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in supply chain leadership in a healthcare setting.
Progressive and diverse operational experience culminating in leading leaders in multidisciplinary areas.
Demonstrated professional involvement and continuing education to remain contemporary in understanding of healthcare environment and areas of responsibility.
