Performs facilities and GIS application and database design, including integration of applications and data with other highly complex technologies;
Performs functional facilities and GIS systems design, including integration of business functions, user interface design and database design;
Acts as a lead in the design, modification, implementation and integration of complex facilities and GIS applications, analytics and databases with little oversight and few questions regarding the resolution of problems;
Acts as an independent resource to customers and unit staff on facilities and GIS application, data and analytic issues;
Provides independent specialized (second level) customer support as an identified expert in facilities and GIS applications, analytics and databases;
Acts as a resource, on a consistent basis, to other teams and staff in the resolution of IT problems.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year degree program in Computer Science, Information systems, Engineering, Business or related Information Technology field, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; 3 - 5 years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) including a good working knowledge of geographic information management and spatial data standards, experience with GIS software, experience in the design, development, implementation GIS solutions, including analysis and database development, integration and web development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
