New York City Health and Hospitals (NYCH+H) is the nation's largest municipal IDN. Our Centralized Office of Supply Chain Services is seeking seasoned leaders to assist in transformation and help the corporation reduce its overall supply chain spend. In order to serve millions of New Yorkers each year, many of them uninsured, it's essential to have world-class leaders who can manage the scope and systems of NYCH+H's supply chain.
Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President of Strategic Sourcing, the Director Procurement and Systems will be responsible for the contract/program/budget management of third party Biomedical Engineering services, third party Central Sterile services along with but not limited to other associated goods and service contracts. This person will also play a key role in managing capital acquisitions working with internal/external partners regarding capital procurements at the planning, budgeting, project, contract, and transactional levels. This position requires strong analytic, problem solving, reporting and presentation skills to communicate initiative status at all levels of the Hospital system.
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital Administration, Health Care Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration or an approved related program and seven years of progressively responsible experience in health and medical service administration, public administration, personnel and labor relations, finance or appropriate functional discipline with an emphasis on planning, liaison and inter-organizational relationships, or related administrative or managerial functions; or,
Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and eight years of progressively responsible experience in health and medical service administration, public administration, finance or appropriate functional discipline with an emphasis on planning, liaison and inter-organizational relationships, or related administrative or managerial functions; or,
A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
A Bachelor's Degree, advanced degree highly preferred.
7+ years' experience in a leadership capacity supporting a healthcare sourcing/procurement operation
Knowledge of healthcare supply chain management principles and concepts in procurement, contracting, distribution, vendor program management, and equipment management.
Knowledge in Biomedical Engineering, Central Sterile, Capital Procurement,
Knowledge of accounting principles, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, statistical control and other strategies in costs management and process improvement.
Technical skills in MS Office suite, EHR and current healthcare supply chain information systems
