The Business Development Manager, Product will lead JCA’s sales efforts of business intelligence software, including the newly re-designed JCA Answers Suite and the industry-leading Revenue Management Application (RMA), to leading nonprofit cultural organizations throughout North America. As a member of JCA’s distributed team, you will join an experienced firm with 30 years’ experience in providing technical solutions to nonprofits.
Generate Opportunities: In collaboration with the Product and Marketing teams, identify and target key market segments to develop a stable pipeline of qualified leads for JCA Answers, the Revenue Management Application, and Arts Engines Platform products.
Manage Sales Leads: Receive, respond, and qualify inbound inquiries and work all leads using a structured sales process. Work closely with the appropriate Product Managers to coordinate delivery.
Support Marketing Efforts: Collaborate with JCA Marketing and respective JCA Product Managers to develop and deliver content to support your sales efforts.
Maintain Strategic Account Relationships: Stay in contact with select clients to promote retention and identify opportunities for value-added product or services sales. When necessary, coordinate with JCA Services Business Development Manager to maximize opportunities.
The successful applicant will have:
Excellent communication skills
Strong technical aptitude with a desire to always master new software applications
Ability to talk with executives and decision makers at prospects and clients to understand challenges and identify solutions
Experience prospecting new leads, identifying key decision makers, and networking to uncover new opportunities.
Experience using a sales CRM tool to manage daily activities
Attend select industry conferences to promote JCA products
Five years' experience selling technology solutions, with a preference given to software sales to nonprofit organizations
Experience managing a consultive sales process
Demonstrated ability to manage a structured sales process
If working from a home office, a productive work environment
Candidates with the following experience will have an advantage:
Prior experience as a remote employee and managing your own sales activities
Experience selling BI and/or SaaS solutions
Experience with leading fundraising, ticketing, or admissions software such as Tessitura, Raiser's Edge, Galaxy, or Siriusware
