The Systems Engineering Manager will be based in Irving, TX. Will plan and direct all aspects of system engineering activities within the medical devices organization. Ensures all system engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Develop the budget and project estimation for the system engineering team. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from customers and coordinate with other departments.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…
Provide technical leadership to the Systems Engineering team.
Oversee resources budgeting, allocation, review and approval.
Track projects and progress through regular reviews.
Oversee the development of system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software/mechanical compatibility
Defines system level risk management strategies
Oversee the development overall system architecture, black box, and grey box designs
Develop control systems, reports, which accurately measure progress, identify potential technical problems and implement timely corrective actions to ensure that commitments are met.
Participate in product architecture and feasibility technical reviews.
Provide assistance and guidance in the development of product designs from proposal to delivery.
Provide technical support to customer and sales team.
Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
Demonstrates functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
Demonstrates expertise in multiple areas and industry.
Demonstrates proficient knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
Supports department manager in identifying future technologies

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
10 + years of experience in the field or related area
Familiar with IEC-60601 and collateral documents
Experience in design of software-driven electromechanical Class 2 and 3 medical devices strongly preferred.
Understanding of EMI/EMC principles and design
Experience with a variety of electromechanical design concepts, practices, and procedures
Strong verbal and technical writing skills
Excellent analytical thinking skills
Demonstrated team leadership experience
