The Department of Health Management and Policy (HMP) at the University of Michigan is seeking a faculty member at any level—assistant, associate or full professor—within the fields of management, organizational theory, or implementation science. We are interested in candidates with expertise specific to all areas of the health sector (including hospitals, long-term care, physicians and other health professionals, health insurance, or pharmaceuticals, devices and supply chain organizations) and from diverse areas of research, including but not limited to strategic management, quality improvement, organizational change, implementation science, and team and professional dynamics. We are also interested in candidates who use a range of organizational theories and implementation science frameworks. Combinations of areas of expertise are welcome and interdisciplinary approaches are encouraged. Individuals who have or will complete degrees in public health, health services, business, sociology, psychology, and related areas are encouraged to apply.

Minimum requirements include an earned doctorate by September 1, 2019 in a relevant field along with recognition or promise of outstanding contributions as a scholar.
We seek researchers with strong scholarly credentials and a record or promise of external research funding. The faculty member will be expected to teach at the masters and doctorate level, as well as in the School of Public Health’s new undergraduate program.
