Opportunities exist for a Clinical Coordinator-Oncology and Pharmacy Manager to join our Pharmacy Cancer Care Leadership Team. The Pharmacy Cancer Care Team provides services utilizing a team-based model with integration across the inpatient and outpatient continuum. Clinical Pharmacists are involved with inpatient oncology rounding and services are established in the ambulatory clinics with expectations for continued expansion. The team also collaborates closely with Investigational Drug Services and the Pharmacy Informatics Team. Successful pharmacists in this role integrate into the pharmacy leadership team and collaborate with other pharmacy team members, physicians, advanced nurse practitioners and nurses to promote evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes while minimizing resource overutilization.
The Clinical Coordinator-Oncologywith be responsible for:
Expansion of Oncology ambulatory clinical services
Development and maintenance of policies and procedures
Review of off-compendia therapies and overall drug utilization tracking
Support the Hematology/Oncology/BMT P&T subcommittee
Promote safe utilization of antineoplastic medications
Involvement in the use of Beacon Chemotherapy & Supportive Care plans for managing patient treatment and overall drug utilization
Mentoring of Clinical Pharmacists and PGY-2 Oncology Residents and students
The Pharmacy Managerwill be responsible for:
Operational and personnel oversight
Maintaining compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, with a focus on and
Optimization of workflows through collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Partner with the Pharmacy Supply chain team to manage inventory and medication shortages
Managing financial aspects of the pharmacy including budget and drug expense tracking along with billing and reimbursement issues
Dedication to continuous improvement and application of Lean Management
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
Eligibility for pharmacy licensure in the State of Kansas and Missouri
Meets at least one of the following requirements:
3 years of practice experience in area of focus OR
completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 and PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency program OR
2 years of practice experience in area of focus AND completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program
Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, Health Administration or Business Administration
