We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity if you are someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will give to the department by providing critical support by monitoring and engaging in activities to optimize the procurement process at CMU in support of the University's vision and applicable University and regulatory requirements.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Reviewing purchase orders to ensure compliance with policy and procedures and routing the orders for appropriate approval.
Updating and generating policy and procedure for the procurement process. This may include leading and participating on cross-functional teams.
Collecting and analyzing data to provide management reporting dashboards and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
You will have strong attention to detail, a healthy questioning attitude, and a strong process orientation. Flexibility, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within the Finance Department. We are looking for someone who has a general knowledge of supply chain management practices/skills as well as general business insight. You will operate with autonomy under mandate and be willing to interact expertly and effectively with all levels of management.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or business related field required; Master's degree preferred
3-5 years of Procurement experience
