RHS Support Services is seeking a Procurement Coordinator/Contract Administrator I to support our current and future needs in the areas of sourcing, procurement, compliance, sustainable practices, food safety, traceability, and overall supply chain operations. This individual will be a member of a team that provides products and services for RHS Culinary Services, Spartan Hospitality Group, and other campus partners.
Major responsibilities to include:
Maintains accuracy of information system database records.
Procures products as specified using internal information systems (iSeries).
Maintains perpetual inventory levels to assure timely order fulfillment, cost control, and compliance.
Negotiates and administers contracts and letter of agreements.
Interfaces with customers to ensure product specifications and service needs are met.
Works closely with brokers, vendors and potential vendors through bids, order placement, and general industry networking.
Researches, recommends, approves and monitors sources for food commodities and services.
Processes sealed bids, requests for quotation (RFQ), requests for information (RFI), and requests for proposal (RFP).
Conducts analysis of commodities and services via analytic tools, test panels, field studies, plant and facility inspections, and other research as needed.
Facilitates synergies and collaboration within Support Services, with our customers, and with both internal and external business partners.
Supports and promotes improvements.
Complies with University policies and procedures.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in business or a related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in purchasing and/or inventory management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated procurement and supply chain knowledge, contract negotiation and administration skills, knowledge of warehouse and inventory control systems and processes, experience managing commodities and services in the food industry, customer service driven.
Generally, Monday – Friday; 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and rotational Sundays; weekends and evenings as required.
