Our client is a well respected Asset Manager here in Edinburgh who is seeking to hire a Senior Financial Crime Consultant to join on a contractual basis for an initial 9 months.

In the role you will be responsible for the continuous assessment of the design and effectiveness of the systems and controls to mitigate Financial Crime Risk. Your Responsibilities will include:

• The provision of firm wide Financial Crime Assurance

• Responsibility for support other Compliance Monitoring functions across the business

• Support the production of high quality management information (MI) covering FCC activities

• Identify enhancements in processes and assist in implementing system changes ensuring that any changes in regulations are implemented within the FCC framework

• Designing, embedding and enhancing a robust Financial Crime Assurance methodology

• Managing and influencing key stakeholders across the business

• Keeping up to date with regulatory rules and changes and meet agreed regulatory deadlines and targets

Experience:

• Substantial Financial Crime Assurance experience ideally gained within the Asset Management industry in either a Monitoring or Assurance capacity

• Deep technical knowledge of the relevant Financial Crime regulations governing the Asset Management industry

• Excellent knowledge of the UK AML regulations and UK Bribery Act, US Foreign Corrupt Practices, Criminal Finances Act and the Criminal Corporate Offences.

• Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

• Exceptional organisation skills with proficiency in multi-tasking
