The candidate, as a product specialist within the Internal Equity Advisory team, will be responsible for growing the Equities and Derivatives business.
The main responsibility of the candidate is to originate and distribute investment ideas and solutions to the Front Office.
The candidate will also be a dedicated Equities and Derivatives resource to attend internal meetings with RMs and IC's to present ideas and provide updates on equities, attend joint calls and meetings with end clients, and work with the CIO and research teams to develop investment themes and ideas.
Originate daily, actionable cash equity, and equity derivative investment ideas for the Front Office, in line with BOS research views, validated against additional elements such as technical signals, momentum, short term catalysts, flows etc.
Assist with idea implementation for the 'Tactical Equities Pack' highlighting our top high conviction equity ideas over a 30-90 day period across Asia, US and European markets.
Continuously review the top equity holdings of clients within the bank and provide recommendations regarding re-balancing, taking profit or provide recovery ideas.
Effectively communicate relevant market information and investment ideas to internal stakeholders and clients, including regular presentations to the Front Office.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Front Office sales teams and provide training where necessary.
Attend client meetings to assist RMs and Investment Counsellors with equity views along with trade recommendations.
Ensure compliance with all internal and regulatory policies and procedures.
Participate in IAS business initiatives and process changes.
Work closely with Research and IAS teams to deliver a broad range of equity-related solutions.
Qualifications Work Experience Requirements
The candidate should possess at least 8 years of relevant Equity and Derivatives sales experience in a sell-side or buy-side institution.
Expertise in equities including ability to understand fundamental and technical factors affecting equities. Candidates with a research analyst background also well-received.
Prior experience working with relationship managers and high net worth trading clients is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills are a must. The candidate must be articulate and have the confidence to present in front of large groups to clearly articulate ideas.
CFA qualification or equivalent preferred
