Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to provide accounting support to build and maintain a business partnership with the various Utilities/Site Services/Operations Areas (you will become familiar with product flow, process interrelationships, and cost drivers) and guide and support management in the preparation, review, and analysis of annual operating plans and monthly forecasts. You will also serve as an information source regarding Capital Policy and utilize and support the Non-Trade Billing process. Additionally, you will provide transparency of costs to businesses and be able to provide suggestions for fixed and variable cost control efficiency.

Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in Accounting or Finance combined with your relevant work experience, you will perform cost accounting related functions including product valuation pricing, manufacturing and spending analyses, and identification of opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency increases.
Coordinating, communicating, and collaborating with respective Operations/Supply Chain/Production Associates throughout the month, and specifically during the closing process, you will ensure that timely, accurate, and representative data populates the SAP system.
Working as a team player, willing to actively support efforts outside of your defined areas of responsibility, you will evaluate economic portfolios to determine feasibility of Lean/Six Sigma projects.
Communicating professionally and effectively, you will participate in Operations review meetings and Accounting Team meetings.
Your ability to develop, analyze, and interpret accounting information for management in the form of costs, operating plans, policies, and trends will be essential as you compile, reconcile, analyze, summarize, and present/report costs on a monthly basis to site/business/corporate management.
Your keen attention to detail will be a valued asset as you prepare journal entries and service allocations.
Using your strong PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Access), you will create accounting controls and control spreadsheets to complete service allocations and residuals analysis and adjustment.
Taking initiative and assuming responsibility of having tasks completed accurately and on time, you will fully participate in the physical verification and reconciliation of raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, and catalyst inventories on an annual basis.
As a subject matter expert, you will assist management in proper necessary financial, accounting, and controlling procedures and any accounting related areas.
