We have an immediate opening for Senior Desktop & Support Specialist. Reporting to the CIO, the Senior Desktop & Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s desktop and support structure provide for the needs of the firm’s attorneys, clients and staff. The Senior Desktop and Support Specialist will provide technology leadership in relation to user experience; direct, plan, organize and supervise the activities of the IT Support Team; and ensure effective and timely technology assistance to all members of the firm. Hooper, Lundy and Bookman has the best attorneys in the health care field and requires the best technology and technologists available to support those attorneys and their clients.
Provide leadership and direction for the Firm’s technology and the IT Department as it relates to user experience.
Build effective working relationships with the Firm’s attorneys and staff.
Work with the CIO to develop and manage support systems to assure that all Hooper employees receive timely and high-quality support for technology questions and issues 24x7x365.
Supervise the IT support team, including setting goals, providing performance feedback, and providing training, to assure high quality support.
Ensure attorney and staff have the appropriate support to perform their duties and serve the Firm’s clients.
Install and maintain computer and telecommunications hardware, software, and all other products and supplies necessary to keep technology systems operable.
Create, update, and deploy windows desktop images.
Identify user needs, resolve problems and direct the IT support team to provide employees with top quality, consistently available computer service, support, training and maintenance of technology systems.
Work with the IT team to assure that Desktops receive regular updates to maintain best in breed legal software and versions and consistent user experience across platforms.
Manage the support of telecommunications equipment and services, including telephone and videoconferencing systems.
BS in a related field, and at least 10 years of experience in the Information Technology arena. Law firm experience required. Extensive experience with Microsoft systems and legal specific software and vendors. High level of experience creating, updating, and deploying windows desktop images. A working knowledge of data protection and hard drive encryption technologies. Experience with scripting in batch and PowerShell to automate administrative tasks. A deep understanding of and experience working with iManage 9.x and 10.x. Experience with two factor authentication troubleshooting and support. Experience with any On-Premise to Cloud migration a plus. A demonstrated strong commitment to user satisfaction and a team approach a must.
