This leadership position will direct, oversee and coordinate the credit risk functions of the bank’s Business Banking, Small Business Lending, Consumer, Mortgage and Indirect Auto activities, through the establishment and maintenance of a credit culture that contributes to building and maintaining a quality asset portfolio. This position will report to the Chief Credit Officer and will be located in New Orleans, LA.
Oversees and coordinates activities of Credit Risk Management for the further attainment of the bank’s goals and objectives.
Independent oversight of all centralized credit delivery functions that are embedded in the lines of business to ensure proper accountability from a credit approval and guidelines perspective.
Direct management and leadership for centralized collections team ensuring focus and maintenance of the asset quality of the portfolios.
Implement, monitor and maintain decision technology solutions (scorecards and auto-decisioning) for appropriate segments.
Owner of relevant credit risk policies and underwriting guidelines.
Implement and enhance portfolio management and surveillance practices for related portfolios ensuring proactive identification, management and escalation of portfolio issues, trends and opportunities.
Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department and division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
Bachelor degree required with advanced degree in relevant field preferred.
15+ years of related banking, lending, credit risk and portfolio management experience.
Solid experience in credit functions in business banking, consumer and mortgage lending business activities.
Quantitative and process-oriented with background that includes use of decision technology as part of delivery solution.
Prior leadership experience in both a direct and matrixed structure preferred.
