JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision, the Associate Category Manager (ACM) serves as a procurement specialist in Project Management's Strategic Supply Chain Program (FUSION). The ACM will help to accelerate the expansion of FUSION by adding onto our existing FUSION portfolio, and will execute procurement strategies that are designed to maximize client outcomes and minimize total cost of ownership for assigned complex category(s). The ACM will develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and manage category and FUSION partner performance. Provides in-depth research and analytical support for complex categories for a variety of procurement activities, and/or leads a less-complex categories. This role will be critical in helping to establish and implement procurement policies with suppliers to ensure Quality, Delivery and Cost improvements including KPI's, Scorecards, etc. May supervise analysts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Designs, generates, reviews and implements complex reports to support account, client, and global sourcing requirements. Prepares and presents results of analysis and reports along with their relative impact(s) to the business to all levels of management. Maintain data integrity of databases and make changes as required to enhance accuracy, usefulness and access. Collects and rationalizes complex data from multiple sources. Ensures data integrity and accuracy. Uses aggregate data from multiple sources to create a complete analysis, improvement and/or recommendation(s). Coordinates with global souring team and peers to aggregate data align reporting. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key systems/processes in subject teams and day-to-day functions. Acts as project lead, including supervisory and/or managerial activities, in the coordination of the procurement team to successfully complete specified projects. Identifies opportunities for improvements by and among the clients and/or companies. Prepares and presents results of analysis and reports along with their relative impact(s) to the business to all levels of management. Develops scenario planning tools/models (exit/maintain/grow). Prepares forecasts and analyzes trends in general business conditions. Other duties may be assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field from four-year College and/or University. Minimum of five years of related experience and/or training. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis. REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Advanced knowledge of database design and relational database principles and practices. Working Knowledge of administration of databases in software development. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
