Executive Fellow, Hospital Division
Kindred Healthcare
Kindred Healthcare is recruiting a dynamic, ambitious, and high performing pharmacist for our corporate PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency program based out of our Support Center in Louisville, Kentucky . This program offers the unique opportunity to develop the skills required to successfully lead and manage multi-site hospital pharmacy operations for a national post-acute healthcare provider. A PGY2 health-system pharmacy administration and leadership residency builds upon PGY1 residency graduates' competence in the delivery of patient-centered care and in pharmacy operational services to prepare residents who can assume high level managerial, supervisory, and leadership responsibilities. Areas of competence emphasized during the program include safe and effective medication-use systems, quality assurance and improvement, the management of human resources, the management of financial resources, use of technology, and advanced leadership. The residency lays the foundation for continued growth in management and leadership skills. The resident will gain an in-depth understanding of Kindred's post-acute care pharmacy strategies. In addition to leadership and operational training, you will experience hands-on learning through rotations and projects designed to build the skills needed for a successful career in health-system pharmacy leadership. The resident will also participate in an executive training program at Kindred Healthcare focused on transitional care delivery methods, practice, and research. Transitional care focuses on interdisciplinary care delivery to medically complex patients in need of extended recovery time. The resident will interact with the full spectrum of Kindred's business, including clinical, operational, and financial leadership at the corporate and hospital level. Specific goals for the program are centered on developing skills in executive management, leadership, multi-site pharmacy practice, networking, and applied research. Start date is slated for July 2019. Program Structure: Core Experiences*
