Inventory Control Associate – Invasive Lab - Cardiovascular Services – Orlando – Part Time

The Inventory Control Associate - Invasive Lab is responsible for assisting and supporting the Invasive lab departments (vascular, cardiac, electrophysiology and pediatric) for all supply and material functions. Responsibilities include inventory reconciliations, generating requisitions for special orders and select stock items; tracking and receiving stock items, restock designated inventory areas; track status of open orders as necessary, tag and register high spend items into RFID system, manage inventory and adjust par levels when necessary. The Inventory Control Associate generates and reviews reports and data related to supplies and charges to ensure accuracy and completeness. The position contributes to the development and execution of action plans for supply cost savings and management. Effectively and expeditiously communicates changes in inventory or incidences of unavailable inventory to the clinical team. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
Skills in applying inventory and materials handling concepts and knowledge of mathematical problems.
Ability to work with each department's leaders to facilitate the flow of supplies to achieve maximum efficiency.
Able to work flexible schedules according to the needs of the department.
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to learn and apply computer related applications and programs, including using electric keyboards and other peripheral devices.
Ability to maintain and troubleshoot job tools such as bar code scanners and RFID readers. (preferred)
CPR Certification (preferred)
Ability to manage stress and handle challenging situations in a highly technical, fast paced, high volume procedural area. (preferred)
High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
Experience in AdventhealthMaterials Management Acquisition System (preferred)
Experience with RFID inventory management systems (preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

Manages time and equipment effectively, performs and assigns activities related to maintaining a clean, safe and efficient environment. Completes daily responsibilities according to established procedures.
Assist and support the Invasive Lab departments including Vascular, Cardiac, Electrophysiology and Pediatric for all supply and material functions.
Review expiration reports to swap, return or exchange products with manufacturers. Maintain consignment reports and quantities in Wavemark, working with suppliers to adjust as needed.
Generate and validate Apollo and Wavemark reports for the purpose of maintaining PAR levels on Cardiology DPC, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Initiates return of defective devices to vendors, understanding urgent device related issues and responding appropriately and in a timely manner to all patient orders.
Perform MPC maintenance regularly. Track bundle/bulk purchases for cardiovascular services and reconcile location and use of products within the departments.
Contributes to the development and execution of action plans for supply cost savings and management. Coordinate with the Materials Management Helpline and Purchasing to research pertinent issues.
Keep supervisor and/or managers informed while communicating appropriately and professionally with physicians, technicians, and other hospital personnel. Effectively and expeditiously communicate changes in inventory and/or incidences of unavailable inventory to the clinical team.
Collaborates with the Invasive Lab Supervisors and is compliant with special requests as situations dictate. Assist as needed with various office responsibilities, including filing, tagging and tracking of orders.
Responsible and accountable for participation in quality and performance improvement activities with a goal to improve patient or departmental outcomes. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department and performs additional tasks as needed within Cardiovascular Services.
