General Summary: Assist the Senior Financial Analyst, Controller and Director of Finance in the accurate preparation of data analytics, budgets, schedules and financial statements. Develop custom reports by accessing information in financial databases. Work cohesively with team members and attorneys to provide superior client service.
Assist in developing and producing data analytics.
Assist with preparation of data for financial presentations.
Assist in preparing and analyzing the Firm’s monthly financial packages.
Create macro-enabled Excel-based reports that extract data from SQL databases for use by staff and attorneys.
Assist with depreciation expense booking and asset tracking.
Create month-end and year-end journal entries from reports to import into the general ledger.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, accounting, finance, or business is required.
Prior experience in finance and accounting is preferred.
Data analytics and accounting knowledge with ability to identify potential errors and analyze variances in financial data or statements.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Excellent computer skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Must have prior background working extensively with report writing software such as SQL Query Analyzer, spreadsheets, databases, VBA scripts and other SQL database extraction tools. Must be highly competent working with SQL select statements and relational database structures.
Ability to quickly learn software applications used for database information reporting.
Ability to perform system configurations and testing for new applications.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
