As Inventory Manager/Demand Planner, you will manage inventory and claims at the various 3rd Party Warehouse locations in the U.S. and perform forecasting activities creating and maintaining forecast models for customers and products.
Your key responsibilities:
Optimize inventory cost by forecasting needs, analyzing movement patterns, performance reporting, and resolving inventory discrepancies.
Collaborate with demand planning, sales operations and logistics in the design and execution of product allocations and inventory levels, sales forecasting analysis and inventory turn management.
Work in conjunction with supply chain to provide inventory forecast and comparison of actuals, aging and turns.
Work closely with the warehouses to ensure inbound containers are received physically and systematically.
Work internally with Inbound Logistics Planner to ensure that inbound containers are being tracked and delivered to 3PL warehouses on-time.
Ensure that once containers are received physically and systematically by warehouses, they are also input timely and accurately into Ergomotion ERP (SAP).
Create and implement world-class inventory practices and ensure consistency across all 3PL warehouses.
Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years’ experience in inventory and warehousing operational processes in a multi-site 3PL environment or closely related experience.
2 years of large-scale ERP experience; SAP preferred.
APICs or other forecasting certification is preferred.
