Cargill Protein in North America has an exciting and career advancing opportunity for the position of Strategic Pricing Consultant for the turkey business, within the North America Protein business. This position is responsible for applying industry and pricing expertise to lead the vision and implementation of Strategic Pricing for some of the largest and most complex product groups within the Protein Group, including ground turkey, turkey parts, value-added turkey products (e.g. marinated tenders, turkey patties, sausages), commodity turkey and whole birds.
This role will help drive the pricing strategy for the turkey business through deep understanding of market trends and business factors, while fully owning the successful application of that strategy across all turkey customers and products.
This role is responsible for identifying and leading significant pricing-related margin improvement for the turkey business through effective partnerships with the business and sales teams, with a focus on retail. This position will lead a data-driven pricing approach that proactively communicates value to customers and captures that value to drive profitable growth.
This position will be a key member of the Protein Group Strategic Pricing team and extended turkey business teams, reporting to the Poultry Pricing Strategist.

Bachelor’s degree required. Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred.
Minimum of 8 years experience in strategic pricing, financial planning & analysis, strategic consulting, or related fields
Expert knowledge of P&L and margin/price decision making
Well-developed commercial understanding and breadth of perspective of the business
Demonstrated teaming and collaboration skills
Proven capacity to create/build/operate (process, protocol, governance, system) with less than perfect information
A hands-on mentality, capable of executing under pressure
Keen sense of C-suite priorities and outspoken advocate of the bottom line
Experience using best in class pricing systems within B2B and B2C: revenue management, yield management, predictive and historical price performance analytics, price administration/execution, contract deal management
Strong analytical proficiencies to derive insights from large and complex sets of business data
Finance, Business or Marking advanced degree
Certified Pricing Professional
Strong Project and Change Management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and inspire people from different functional areas to achieve a desired outcome, demonstrated influence leadership skills
Proven ability to effectively influence C-Suite level talent
Strong understanding of Cargill Protein products, competitors and market dynamics
Experience implementing and/or using pricing software (e.g., Tableau, PROS, Zilliant)
Experience implementing and/or using Salesforce.com
Ability to evaluate statistical methods and concepts used in pricing modeling and forecasting
