Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Regional Business Manager.
Partner with Communications, Corporate Real Estate, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and other strategic partners to drive significant business management initiatives and activities in line with global and regional Risk strategies and priorities, across sub functions and geographies.
Undertake financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and control of the expenses and headcount for designated Risk functions and the overall coordination across Asia Pacific Risk.
Lead efforts to plan and drive large scale and significant events and staff engagement activities. Implement people and communication strategies.
Drive the embedment and ongoing compliance of policies, rules and guidelines.
Participation in devising and monitoring of internal governance activities. Drive the development and implementation of standardized processes and practices.
Coordinate and support a hiring request process and ensure alignment to the Risk blueprint.
Working with third party service providers to manage or evaluate their provision, monitor their performance and ensure service level agreements are honoured.
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Information Systems or a related field.
Equipped with financial and accounting acumen and the ability to budget, track and control expenditures.
Experience in planning and leading large scale and significant events.
Experience in driving changes through an organized and structured approach.
Experience in working in a regional office and navigating through a matrix organizational structure.
Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate effectively with senior stakeholders.
Ability to articulate complex and sensitive information and situations in meaningful and concise ways.
Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and problem solve.
