IBM is seeking to hire a senior SAP BASIS system administrator to join our team.
The candidate will be working with a forward thinking team with the vision of combining creativity and innovation to achieve success using Agile methodology.
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization is look for highly skilled and motivated professionals for its SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) team. The position would require skills in Agile methodologies, mobile, social analytics, and technical expertise with SAP applications.
Be part of a worldwide team to support and extend IBM’s implementation/scope of SAP with responsibilities for various functions used across the enterprise.
Initiate, support and manage corporate wide initiatives applicable to IBM's internal SAP projects
Manage SAP processes, utilize the available tools, and communicate standards and Operations plans across the internal SAP application teams.
Utilize Agile software development mythologies to achieve continuous delivery and continuous improvements
SAP projects involve assessments, scoping, planning, implementation, testing, Operations monitoring, and support.
Understanding and managing the SAP support process for internal SAP projects in IBM, including escalations, reporting, and required infrastructure.
Collaborate across IBM’s SAP internal applications to foster an atmosphere of teaming and openness.
Engage in cross team collaboration across the CIO SAP Center of Excellence
Excellent communication and written skills to communicate with teams, organize conference calls, and coordinate/manage activities across global teams
Successful individuals will be well versed with IT, new productivity tools, always willing to learn and use new technology yet focused on high quality, on schedule deliverables.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5+ years' of hands-on experience with SAP Basis system administration on SAP ABAP and Java systems
1+ years' of hands-on experience with IBM DB2 or other data bases
4+ years' of hands-on experience with aix, Redhat, Linux or z/os operating systems
Knowledge of testing strategies, technical monitoring, incident management, and performance tuning
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Familiar with Agile Software Development Mythologies
Demonstrated ability to work with global teams
