Introduction / Headline An exciting and challenging role has been arisen within the Global Business Continuity Office (GBCO) for a Business Resilience Consultant (Senior) in our Business Resilience Team. The successful applicant will work within the Business Resilience team, assisting in implementing and improving together enhancing APAC overall resiliency programme, identifying and mitigating risk and assisting the Regional Business Resilience Relationship Manager APAC with the delivery of the annual programmes. This is an important role for a qualified Business Continuity practitioner that will provide a valuable opportunity to assist the Regional Resilience Business Manager APAC to ensure operational accountability for effective Crisis Management, Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery arrangements within the APAC region and any assigned activities for UK&I and EMEA regions. Brief Summary of department - i.e. year objectives, number in team etc. Reporting to the Resilience Business Resilience Relationship Manager APAC, you will be a key figure in the GBCO team to assist in achieving the objectives set by Head of Business Continuity for UK&I, EMEA & APAC. You will proactively assess the effectiveness of our resiliency planning assumptions and strategies, to deliver and manage solutions that mitigate threats to our business, such as Crisis Management frameworks, Work Area Recovery (WAR), Emergency Call cascade tools, testing and exercising of plans and training of response teams. In addition, y ou should expect to be involved in a wide range of challenging engagements, ranging from optimisation of our client and supplier resilience controls and large resilience programmes, to providing specialist support in areas such as business continuity, technology and cyber resilience. This role requires a creative, 'roll-up-your-sleeves' problem solver with an innovation mindset. You are excited about working with senior leadership and your regional colleagues to design appropriate strategies for resilience and incident response. The position requires an experienced professional who can provide subject matter expertise in business Resilience disciplines such as business continuity, crisis management and ITDR as well as risk assessment.
The BCM Specialist is expected to work with minimal supervision while providing support to the Regional Manager in delivery of business continuity planning, training, exercising, and assessment services to corporate locations & lines of business as part of their annual ongoing regional programme.
Support & maintain strategies to monitor performance, measure effectiveness, and identify and mitigate gaps in the overall resilience model
Build trusted relationships to enable a 'One Experian' approach to preparedness, response, and recovery.
Assisting in emergency response preparedness processes, training and capability are fit-for purpose to ensure Experian responds to and recovers from incidents, including maintenance of all documentation.
Assist Crisis Management Officer to facilitate, guide, and advise business and security partners on incident responses in times of crisis.
Act as SME for APAC and support responses to any relevant RFI/RFP/RFQ enquiries from the business
Develop & maintain relationships with Internal Resilience partners and build consensus of Operational Resilience within Experian.
Provide support and works with departments to develop and regularly update all aspects of Business Continuity Planning (BIA, Plans, tests) in order to ensure an efficient recovery in the event of a business interruption or relocation as well as for yearly compliance purpose.
Provide support and works closely with the Information Technology department and participates in various business continuity efforts with the Information Technology teams. Basic understanding of ITDR will be essential.
Maintains Emergency Preparedness Plans and Site Plans; coordinates with all sites and managers to provide related information, training and implementation.
Support generation of Action Reports for actual events, drills/exercises, and system testing. This includes documenting the nature of the emergency or incident; steps taken during the event and monitoring of any follow-up actions required by the event.
Maintains and provide guidance to the 1LOD in Business Continuity Program as part of Fusion (our Global system) and other toolsets - ready for BC owners.
Complete tickets for adding and removing users from business continuity tool.
Maintain lists of Business Continuity Coordinators and Planners including BIA and Exercise results.
Coordinate conference calls such as scheduling, tracking attendance, and producing meeting minutes.
What will they need to have for this role i.e. skills and qualifications Basic Qualifications
The candidate will be CBCI (minimum) or any related certification on Business Continuity with relevant experiences in operational risk/business continuity roles; Deep understanding of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) lifecycle, industry Good Practice Guidelines and ISO 22301 are considered mandatory requirements for this role.
Ability to assess Experian's existing capabilities against the requirements for a proportionate and effective response to service interruptions and emergency incidents
G ood understanding of the continuity risk process. Knowledge of all phases of the business continuity life cycle will be a plus point.

2-5 + years of experience within a corporate business continuity program for all sectors of business especially in a private sector (Financial Services) organization.
Experience with developing, testing, and maintaining business continuity plans, including facilitating table-top and functional exercises.
Experience and proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio (optional), PowerPoint and SharePoint for process flow chart, reporting and other relevant applications (optional). Additional Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge of process improvement principles and methods.
Experience with operational planning and organization
Experience with emergency notification messaging tools a plus (optional)
Ability to work independently while supporting multiple projects
