AdventHealth Orlando seeks to hire a Value Analysis Manager who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year.
AdventHealth Purchasing Department is located across the street from AdventHealth Altamonte in Altamonte Springs. The department currently serves Hospitals located on try-county area: Osceola, Seminole and Orange, a total of nine campuses and as well as other facilities with their materials management needs. The Purchasing Team includes Procurement Agents, Data Analysts, the Materials Management Help Line, Clinical Resource Managers and others. The staff interacts daily with hospital departments, vendors and other agencies to support and facilitate hospital needs. Located close to I-4, Altamonte Mall, AdventHealth Altamonte, with easy parking, this is a prime location.

The Value Analysis Manager oversees the value analysis process and serves as the single point of contact to support AdventHealth employees and vendors by providing high quality, safe, patient-centered and cost effective products, services and technology. Responsible for a multi-million dollar annual savings goal that is reestablished every year which requires the formulation and adherence to a streamlined method for standardizing and monitoring products, services and technology selection, utilization and costs. Provides strategic expertise that facilitates supply expense management while continuously improving quality, safety, and satisfaction through clinical engagement. Serves as a facilitator and educator of the Value Analysis process by working strategically and tactically to identify, analyze, decide and implement best practices and expense management initiatives. Leads and collaborates with Managers, Directors, Senior Administration, and Physician leadership in identifying and implementing cost reduction, evaluation, standardization and process improvement initiatives. Validates assumptions using ‘evidence-based’ clinical research when appropriate. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Organizational skills; ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal and communication (oral, written, and presentation) skills to persuade and guide the decision process
Ability to work in a team environment and with diverse groups of both clinical and non-clinical employees, as well as, with outside vendors
Ability to serve as a role model/mentor to staff
Analytical skills including cost-benefit analysis and financial feasibility studies, as well as, ability to analyze complex operational and financial scenarios to render solutions that meet the customers' desired outcomes
Strong computer literacy/savvy especially in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Negotiation skills and experience with products, services, and materials management techniques
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field,
AND Minimum of three years of healthcare experience,
OR Master Degree in Business Administration, HealthCare or related field
Clinical experience (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
Process Improvement Certification (Preferred)
Value Analysis Certification (Preferred)
Certified Materials and Resource Professional (Preferred)

Manages value analysis evaluation and selection process to support supply chain activities and to optimize clinical product use and implementation.
Based on feedback from Clinical leadership, oversees clinical product evaluation and selection processes. In conjunction with Clinical Resource Managers, makes decisions on product selection promoting customer satisfaction with product selection and use.
Analyzes and performs cost benefit analyses between current and proposed product and service requests. Implements appropriate actions to maintain or improve compliance with AHS and FH policies.
Resolves issues including product conversions, decisions on inventory control practices, and contract compliance, as well as, vendor support.
Vets requests based on established criteria and decides on use and implementation of new products, as well as, to identify cost-savings and quality improvement opportunities.
Creates and develops weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting value analysis mechanisms and/or cost savings reports to communicate supply chain performance to middle and senior management.
Meets with Senior Material Management staff, Materials Management staff, and clinical departments as scheduled to make decisions on AdventHealth's behalf in committee activities, as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed by Director, Assistant Director and VP of Materials Management.
