Has responsibility forassisting the Purchasing Agents responsible for the Periop, OR, Cath, EP,Radiology, GI and Clinical Labs. The SPA takes lead on facilitating the newitem adds into the MMIS (PMM) and works as a liaison between the implantoffice, charge integrity, clinical resource and purchasing/sourcing for theseadditions. The SPA also has responsibility for managing medical supply purchaseorder confirmations, assisting with requisition creation for clinical lab,instrument repair orders, and purchase order exception research. Helpsfacilitate new vendor setup request for medical suppliers
Supports medical supply purchasing.
Acquires price quotes from suppliers.
Obtains price quotes and proposals.
Expedites deliveries and initiates requisitions and issues purchase orders.
Maintains tracking system for follow-up with vendors.
Assists with resolving problems related to invoicing and receiving.
Working with suppliers and ordering departments to ensure service needs are met.
Supports purchasing agent with any purchasing needs.
