The Public Cloud Engineer will design, build and maintain existing IaaS (private, hybrid, public) and PaaS platforms and assist through the cloud transformation journey with solutions through cloud-native components implemented via Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) from providers such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Design, deploy and support cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (private, hybrid, public) environments and public PaaS environments with a target to leverage public cloud for 100% of new solutions.
The Cloud Engineer also designs, develops and maintains Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) that automates and orchestrates Infrastructure Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) of IaC artifacts to rapidly deploy IaC that can be leveraged by CI/CD Application Develop and Delivery teams as part of Rockwell Automation's DevOps practices.
The Cloud Engineer will work in an Agile methodology environment learning and developing technology leadership and innovation, while collaborating with other Agile team members.
This role will be responsible for executing Scrum team sprint commitments while evolving IaC CI/CD practices to identify and eliminate waste while improving quality and speed in delivery.
This role will develop Cloud and infrastructure-as-Code standards, patterns, and processes and ensure they are the foundation for all proposed conceptual, logical and physical system designs.
