The Pathology Department at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas is seeking applicants for a Histologic Assistant to provide technical support in the histology laboratory to include: Specimen collection; tissue embedding; microtomy; routine H&E staining; slide coverslipping; tissue processing; performing special stains and immunohistochemistry staining and computer entry. Adheres to the Institutional and department safety policies.
Two years experience in a clinical laboratory. Histology Laboratory is preferred.
No certification required. In order to meet certification requirements, employee must have a degree in related science field or prove to be working towards a degree.
Additional Salary Information: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan.
