CBRE Purchasing Program Manager supports tech client's data center power and cooling equipment purchasing and supply chain operations. Ideal candidate has an engineering background, and has been directly involved in purchase of and vendor management for the following large-scale equipment:
Backup power generators
Electrical switch gear
Large power transformers
Mechanical cooling equipment
The ideal candidate will be to support day-to-day purchasing and supply chain vendor management operations for very large/complex project deployments and will work across numerous customer teams.
Possible project locations include Henderson (Las Vegas), Nevada, Lithia Springs/Atlanta, Georgia, and also Columbus, Ohio.
Job duties & tasks:
· Coordinating details, such as lead times, delivery schedules, quantities and types of equipment between suppliers and contractors for Owner Negotiated -Contractor Procured (ONCP) and Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) programs
Adding vendors and new bank account information to the procurement system for payment processing
Addressing and resolving supplier invoicing issues between Accounts Receivable and/or Project Management teams
Drafting Purchase Order (PO) details and tracking POs within client's internal Project Information & Metric Management System (PIMMS)
Providing periodic reports on the overall status of PO placements, equipment shipments, deliveries and payments
Support on Compliance, Deviations & Exceptions (CDE) reviews regarding tracking and closure on specifications and services between suppliers, engineering and internal project management teams.
Procurement and supply chain support on spares requests from internal Data Center Operations or Project Management teams
Overseeing project level change management and PO administrative closeout
Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university. Mechanical or electrical degree preferred.
Minimum (4) four years of related experience power cooling experience. Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills are necessary. Demonstrated ability in project management processes, tools and techniques.
Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.
