Lucas Systems is seeking a highly driven, self-motivated Account Manager. As a key member of Lucas’ global sales and marketing organization, the primary focus for this role is on growing business within a portfolio of existing US accounts and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
If you are an aggressive self-starter with a general understanding of B2B sales and an aptitude to understand and deliver large-scale, complex software solutions then you'll likely be a fit. Academic background in supply chain or exposure to distribution/warehousing operations is helpful but not a must. High-achieving, ambitious, college graduates with excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply.

Responsible for growth in existing accounts within assigned territory or industries
Conduct and manage the full range of sales activities of cold calling, lead generation, customer presentation, proposal generation, terms negotiation, and close
Negotiate and close large, fixed price contracts involving the delivery of software, equipment, and services
Maintain exceptional post implementation customer relationships through regular communication to monitor satisfaction and identify add-on sales opportunities
Work with Engineering/Development to define product improvements and new solutions
Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, speaking engagements, etc.
BS degree in Marketing/Communications preferred; a degree in a technical discipline, supply chain/logistics, economics, business or related field of study will also be considered
Prior inside sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment, is a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills – must be comfortable and confident engaging with mid-level and senior business executives
Adept at navigating around objections, presenting a compelling case for ROI, and cultivating customer relationships
Strong research and analysis skills
Thirst for knowledge to stay up to date on industry trends for competitive advantage
Experience using MS Office tools and CRM software is a must; experience with SalesForce.com is preferred
Ability to travel as needed to conduct sales activities (~25% initially; up to ~50% on an ongoing basis)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Exposure to Distribution (Warehouse), Logistics or Manufacturing industries and/or large software / solution systems is a plus
