The Senior Peoplesoft Software Developer's p rimary responsibility is to provide functional and technical software analysis and programming of PeopleSoft applications in support of business functions. The Senior Peoplesoft Software Developer participates with end users and application teams to understand the necessary requirements to prepare and implement software changes as designed. This position will also contribute by conducting and leading the analysis, recommendations for corrective actions, and resolution of problems within an application.
The job duties of the Senior Peoplesoft Software Developer include, but are not limited to:
Develop, test, and document moderately complex to complex computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems.
Lead and oversee development in PeopleSoft application designer utilizing PeopleCode, Application Package PeopleCode, and Application Engine.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and support of the essential and advanced functions of the PeopleSoft on-line applications including but not limited to HCM, Finance, Supply Chain, and Portal.
Advanced troubleshooting of logical program flows in SQR, Application Engine, PeopleCode, BI Publisher, nVision, and Query
Lead, or work independently with design, coding, and testing of program changes to achieve high-quality, error-free output.
Collaborate with end users to re-create steps necessary to identify and locate the source of a problem within the software code; clearly articulate root cause, corrective analysis and recommendation to IT Management.
Understand end-user workflow and participate in integrated workgroups across application teams.
Achieve defined Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Provide appropriate mentorship to assigned Programmer/Analysts.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Peoplesoft Software Developer role will possess an advanced ability to write, review and debug SQR, SQL, PLSQL, PeopleCode, and Application Engine programs. The ideal candidate for the Senior Peoplesoft Software Developer role will also be self-motivated to identify and resolve issues, and proven ability to work analytically by demonstrating sound and logical problem-solving abilities
