We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to join our Manufacturing team located at our Global headquarters in Jefferson Hills, PA. KJLC is a growing global manufacturer and distributor of vacuum technology.
The Segment Sourcing Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining best-in-class process within Supply Chain, Material Control, annual savings plans, cost predictive analytics, requisition to purchase order processing, procurement training, and supplier diversity. This role requires multiple interactions within the supply chain group: Materials Management, Shops & Services, Sourcing, and Contract Analysts.
Key Job Elements:
Provide leadership, manage, direct and integrate Material receiving, Supply Chain processes and procedures to target best-in-class
Offer guidance and manage, direct and integrate the annual savings plan process to benchmark best-in-class Utility organizations in order to provide the highest level of value
Establish data mining practice to ensure the cost predictive analytics are directly in line with the overall annual savings plan with visibility in long term budget planning
Establish and monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems and qualifying new vendors
Day-to-day requisition to purchase order process
Coordinate with the Global Supply Chain to establish unified purchasing practices and training curriculum
Serve as principal point of contact and proactively provide support on all supplier diversity related activity
Contract Management-Proactively manages team contracting efforts for custom contracts.
Leads negotiations with business partners.
Develops and implements category and sourcing plans utilizing professional purchasing practices for assigned spend categories on an annual basis. Updates plans as needed based on and changes in technology, utilization and customer needs.
Create/maintain the material delivery schedules
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing company
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Experience working in a machine shop environment
Experience with stainless steel raw materials
Highly self-motivated, persistent and able to cope with the requirements of a fast paced environment
Proven ability to maintain long-term business relationships
Professional communication and strong organizational skills
Master’s degree or certification desired
Lean and /or Six Sigma methodologies
Sourcing, Material Management / Logistics and Material Handling
Advance working knowledge of Supply Chain ERP modules and Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access
