We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Cyber Risk, Asia Pacific .
Head of Cyber Risk, is a role within the ASP CMB Control Office that acts as the Subject Matter Expert and the end to end control owner for all Cyber related controls and risks for Commerical banking across Asia Pacfic.
The role holder will be reponsible for providing a complete end to end view of the effectviveness of Cyber Controls for ASP CMB (covering a Home,Scale & Network Markets) covering both owned and relevant outsourced controls. In addiition, the role holder is responisble for the deployment and mointoring of the Regional BIRO programme
Key responsibilites and activities would include:
Oversight and management of the ASP Regional CMB Cyber Risk agenda in collaboration with Information Security Risk and IT. This includes providing expert operational risk advice and control monitoring for CMB specifically on Controls related to Cyber Risks.
The ability to translate relevant regulatory and technology changes into business-ready implementation programmes that deliver best control environment to complex operating environments in a timely and robustly manner.
Ability to review and identify emerging and latent cyber risks from end-to-end processes - covering those owned by CMB as well as those owned and managed by outsourced partners (e.g. IT, HOST etc)
Work with CMB management (both regional and in country) to lead the development of action programmes to address identified weaknesses in Cyber controls.
Ensuring CMB's BIRO programme is effective and properly embedded across the region and that any weaknesses are addressed through the creation of relevant action plans
Lead CMB's interaction with 2 nd & 3 rd lines defense for discussions related to Cyber controls
Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with senior executives, Country Chief Operating Officers & internal management teams across the entire ASP region (Home Market/Scale/Network markets).
Ability to use initiative to resolve issues, whilst dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders and team members
Ability to articulate complex issues in a succinct manner to senior management
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group.
Championing and embedding best practice management
Support the Regional CMB Chief Control Officer on other ad hoc tasks as required
Previous experience in risk management within a global organisation, working across cultures, within a complex matrix structure and across a broad regulatory landscape.
Ability to present complex issues across a range of processes, controls and operating environments confidently and concisely to Executives using simple language to accommodate globally distributed stakeholders.
Ability to build enduring relationships with senior stakeholders across the region through effective communication, influence and negotiation.
Skilled decision-maker, making considered and timely decisions particularly when under pressure to resolve issues holistically and comprehensively.
Risk and control subject matter expert with a background in Cyber threat mitigation & IT security risk.
Ability to distil complex and varied information into useful, insightful and concise recommendations and solutions.
Ability to identify, assess and communicate the need for risk mitigation across a complex group of stakeholders.
