As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be a member of the credit union’s Business Integrations team. This role will help support the credit union’s core banking systems and applications. This position performs business and systems analysis and serves as a liaison between one or more business units and IT. This role will lead all aspects of requirements analysis, traceability and testing for enhancements and projects that are small or medium in size and/or complexity while supporting those functions for larger initiatives. This position will also perform day-to-day operational support.
Normal Day-to-Day Work
Identify stakeholders and facilitate discussions or workshops with the purpose of eliciting and understanding stakeholder needs, requirements and priorities.
Apply project management methodology to provide oversight on multiple projects, managing and coordinating project activities across business and technology teams.
Document the work items completely and unambiguously, satisfying the needs of development, quality assurance, technical communicators, and other internal customers and stakeholders.
Explore and experiment with different approaches to improve business and technical processes that best leverage technology, productivity and business automation.
Assists in defining the business processes, information and work flows of the core banking systems.
Monitors industry trends and best practices to ensure that the technology utilized is meeting credit union’s needs in the most efficient, cost-effective manner.
Updates and maintains technical core banking process and support documentation, provide system support, troubleshoot issues and identify solutions.
Identify opportunities for new systems enhancements resulting from new product functionality, including potential integration of cloud computing.
Tests and deploys application enhancements and/or new applications.
Serves as liaison between MIS and external technology vendors and actively manages issue resolution process.
Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.
BA/BS Business, Information Systems Management, Information Technology or related field degree with an emphasis on technical systems and business management or analysis.
Minimum 3 years of experience in business customer-facing role with consulting and business analysis experience.
In-depth knowledge of business analysis, reporting of business data, problem identification, resolution, and root cause analysis within business systems/applications. Sound practice in documenting requirements, business use cases, process flow diagrams and designing for best use for the business.
Expert with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word Project), SharePoint, task and project management systems
Ability to function in a business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
Some travel required.
