The Role Responsibilities
Assisting in the implementation and effective monitoring of controls and processes required by Tax as risk owner for issues relating to client due diligence, monitoring, withholding and reporting.
Providing prompt, concise and timely advice to stakeholders
Partner with country tax and finance to engage in local industry groups / forums and drive local lobbying efforts to simplify client tax information (CTI) requirements
Providing advice and propose solutions to support business requirements as part of client tax information reporting regimes (including industry engagement and liaison with local tax authorities)
Acting as first point of contact for routine CTI related queries from the local business and support function
Assist country tax and finance teams as point of contact for local tax authority queries.

Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values
Work in collaboration with CTI team, risk owners and process owners
Participate in training operated by the Group, keep abreast of local developments and participate in and/or conduct the delivery of training to business and other support functions locally
Ensure CTI risk framework is embedded in business activities and processes of process owners and risk owners' obligations
Proactively identify potential issues/risks and escalate to Group CTI for attention and appropriate support
Assist risk owner review & challenge of Client Tax Information Reporting (CTIR) reporting deliverables supplied by the Group & any non-centralised CTIR reporting process operating locally;
Partner with country tax and finance teams in the monitoring of changes in local country's business, product, strategy, etc & provide CTI input into the sign-off of key governance documents such as product country addendums, changes in group corporate structure (CGCS), corporate action approval form (CAAF), etc
Provide input on existing operating procedures that are impacted by CTI reporting regime requirements, and review processes that are required to be implemented by process owners
Understand and support the processes and framework to implement CTI policies and standards
Understand and support the CTI framework to assist Country Tax/ Finance teams as risk owners for client tax due diligence, withholding and reporting, in discharging the second line obligations and responsibilities
Identify process improvement opoortunities based on bottom-up feedback from country tax/finance teams and work closely with other CTI stream leads and process owners to recommend the changes
Engage with country tax and finance teams & assist in local stakeholders management on CTI requirements, including the local Responsible Officer (CEO) to explain reporting processes, governance & control models & other processes implemented.
