The Role Responsibilities & Our Ideal Candidate
The role holder will have responsibility for providing overall compliance advisory support to the FM business, focusing on Rates and FX, with respect to management of its regulatory, conduct and reputational risk.Operating within the global Financial Markets ("FM") Compliance team, a highly motivated and self-driven individual will join the Global Compliance (FM) Advisory team working closely with Global and Regional Compliance teams, Front Office, Operational Risk and other stakeholders to ensure compliance against key FM regulatory requirements.
The role reports in to the Head, CFCC Advisory, FM Sales, Structuring and Credit Trading, the job holder will be responsible for:
Acting as a main point of contact for any regulatory queries from the FM front office.
Providing real time transactional advice to the FM business, in particular Macro and FX trading, on all Compliance, Conduct and FCC matters relating to FM, in particular Macro and FX trading
Drafting and implementation of global policies and standards
Development and provision of Compliance training to relevant FM business units
Provide FM Compliance input and approval of new products and business initiatives
Undertake continual assessment of regulatory risks associated with business activities and products
Co-ordinate and assist in the identification of material Conduct, Financial Crime and compliance risks fro the relevant FM businesses
Maintain constructive and effective stakeholder relationships with the relevant business and supporting functions, and to assist the relevant Heads, CFCC Advisory FM to interface and support all key stakeholders
Provide other compliance teams with product line expertise as required, particularly with regard to regulatory inspections, investigations and transactional matters
Assist the Head of CFCC, FM in the understanding of regulatory reform initiatives impacting FM
Articulate the priorities and objectives of CFCC Advisory programme for FM, in particular Macro and FX trading
Proactively keep abreast of changes in regulation and legislation applicable to Group standards and policies, industry best practice, and changes to business activities and products
Technical knowledge in typical laws and regulations applicable to the FM business
Strong knowledge of FM products, including foreign exchange and interest products and wider business practices
Ability to analyse relevant laws and regulations and relate regulatory issues to products and business models.
Strong knowledge in risk identification, assessment and mitigation, controls development, monitoring and training
Responsible for 2 nd line oversight of risks adequately mapped against the Group's Operational Risk Framework (ORF) and appropriate controls are established to allow for ongoing monitoring and supervision
Assist in the resolution of surveillance queries
Support and perform Compliance monitoring and control reviews
Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high pressure environment
Ensures appropriate documentation of controls and control decisions.
Works collaboratively with the business and Operational Risk in enhancing the Operational Risk Framework (ORF).
Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, oversee changes in these areas
Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
Responsible for delivering 'effective governance'; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and to work with any regulators in an open and cooperative manner

The individual will be required to manage stakeholders from Global and Regional Compliance teams, Front Office, Operational Risk and other support functions
Ability to ensure that relevant stakeholders receive relevant and timely information on developments in compliance or in the business, with the priority on ensuring "no surprises".
Ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders at all levels and through channels appropriate to the situation. This includes training where necessary and establishing appropriate forums required to ensure stakeholders remain informed.

Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of 5 -10 years (based on band level agreement) prior Compliance and/or Regulatory / Risk Framework experience in Financial Markets
The ability to build strong relationships of trust with relevant stakeholders
The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including ability to articulate compliance issues
Good teamworking skill
Strong problem solving and solution finding skills
