The Undergraduate Education Division of the College of Literature, Science and the Arts (LSA), in collaboration with its Center for Global and Intercultural Study (CGIS), is seeking to hire one (1) lecturer for the Fall 2019 Term to teach UC 275, Global and Intercultural Experience for Undergraduates (GIEU) . The candidate will provide classroom instruction in the form of a half day retreat for undergraduate students participating in the GIEU study abroad program. The course will carry 11.11% effort in the Fall Term.
Lecturers are expected to attend course meetings, hold office hours, and handle routine matters related to instruction.
Masters degree in a field related to intercultural study and advanced knowledge of intercultural theory and skill development. The candidate must have experience working effectively in multicultural communities and teaching diverse groups of undergraduate students with experiential pedagogy.
Prior teaching experience at the University of Michigan.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
