The CVB Program Manager - Software Transformation is a key role within the RA Software Product Business in helping ensure a successful transformation of our Software offerings to a new business model: Software with Maintenance, Software as Subscription and Software as a Service.
This transformation is multi-faceted and will involve working across many different business units and functions within Rockwell. One of the main areas of focus for this role is to ensure all transformation activities led by the Product BU are completed on time, with quality and in budget
The primary responsibilities of the CVB Program Manager - Software Transformation include:
Follow and deliver best in class project and program management practices.
Ability to execute highly complex, large-scale multi region projects and programs.
Coordinate across functional areas and including working with internal IT organizations as well as external system integrators in order to drive successful project and program implementation and deliver business benefits.
Identify and manage through to resolution complex project and program risks and issues.
Prepare and present project, program and department updates to senior leadership as required.
Identify and drive to resolution project and program resource and deployment conflicts.
Identify and manage competing priorities.
Ensure project alignment across other initiatives to avoid duplication or misaligned opportunities.
Program management need to have clear understanding of business goals and engineering constraints as they evolve to maximize the realization of business value. This requires strong engagement with several functions, including multiple businesses and engineering, to create a plan that adopts to dynamic investments, technology and market needs.
This role will be responsible for engaging with multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) as defined by the SAFe process, accelerating the business value for software transformation part of the ARTs' prioritization.
This role will be responsible for evaluating investment risks on innovation during execution to meet business goals and managing the program uncertainty using common tools and best practices.
Responsibility for the financial and schedule performance of assigned program and the ability to clearly communicate software transformation program priorities, expectations, complex issues and risk resolutions to cross-functional businesses across Rockwell Automation globally.
The Program Manager must execute program related technical, interpersonal, motivational leadership and performance management of program teams through all phases of the program tracking business value changes and realization.
This role must be able to apply the interpersonal skills required to lead, motivate and resolve conflict within a program team environment to meet program goals efficiently and ultimately meet the business goals for the program.
Influence change and process improvements within the business, developing methods and systems for tracking program progress and present updates to business unit and senior management on progress. This position leadership is key in transforming the organization balancing processes to enable software development life cycle with right level of oversight for agility and governance for realizing business value.
This role must network and partner with business management and/or third-parties, coordinate efforts to resolve complex problems, and respond and deliver timely and cost-effective quality solutions.
